Best No-Code AI Agent Builders in 2026: Prices Read the Same Day, and What Each One Is Actually Good For

As of October 8, 2026, n8n is the cheapest no-code AI agent builder for agents that run often ($20 a month billed annually for 2,500 full runs), Zapier fits teams already on Zapier (free for 100 tasks, paid from $19.99), Lindy is the easiest Slack assistant ($29.99 a seat), Gumloop suits research agents ($37 for 20,000 credits) and Copilot Studio fits Microsoft shops ($200 per 25,000 credits). Relevance AI and Voiceflow publish no price.

What is the best no-code AI agent builder? The short answer

As of October 8, 2026, there is no single best builder, because they bill four different ways. n8n is the cheapest for agents that run often (from $20 a month billed annually for 2,500 full runs). Zapier fits teams already living in Zapier (free for 100 tasks, paid from $19.99). Lindy is the easiest for an assistant that works inside Slack ($29.99 per seat). Gumloop suits data-heavy research agents ($37 for 20,000 credits). Copilot Studio fits Microsoft 365 shops. Relevance AI and Voiceflow no longer publish a price.

We read every vendor's own pricing page on October 8, 2026, the same day, so the numbers below line up. Where a page would not load or shows no number, we say so instead of guessing.

What each one is actually good for

n8n is a workflow canvas with agent, MCP and AI nodes on every plan, and the Starter plan can call AI models without you bringing an API key. It bills a whole run as one execution no matter how many steps it has, so a 12-step agent costs the same as a 2-step one. The tradeoff is that it feels like a developer tool, and the Business plan ($800 a month billed annually for 40,000 executions) is self-hosted only. The trap is the trigger, not the steps; our n8n pricing page shows how a 5-minute schedule turns 300 leads into 8,640 runs.

Zapier is the safe pick when your apps already connect there: 9,000+ integrations and a visual editor. Its pricing page now says AI steps, code, MCP and the SDK all draw from the same task pool, an MCP tool call uses two tasks, and AI steps can use more than one depending on the model. Checking for new data is free; only completed actions count. Zapier Agents is a separate product that counts usage in "activities", and its pricing link did not return a readable page on October 8.

Lindy is now sold as an AI teammate that lives in your company's Slack and connects to your tools, not a blank canvas. Anything with outside impact, such as sending an email or updating a ticket, waits for approval. Credits refresh each cycle and do not roll over, and when the pool runs dry Lindy pauses instead of billing overage. Extra credits are $10 per 1,000.

Gumloop is built for research, scraping and enrichment agents. Seats are unlimited, you can bring your own model keys, and Pro allows 5 concurrent workflow runs and 25 concurrent agent chats. Our Lindy vs Relevance AI vs Gumloop comparison goes deeper on those three.

Copilot Studio is the Microsoft answer. Microsoft 365 Copilot ($30 per user a month, paid yearly) includes building agents for use inside your company. Publishing an agent to a website or app, or letting unlicensed users talk to it, needs the standalone license sold as $200 packs of 25,000 credits. Microsoft says the credits used per response vary, so the pack is a budget, not a count of conversations.

OpenAI's Agent Builder has no line of its own on OpenAI's API pricing page. You pay the chosen model's token rates plus tool fees, and ChatKit file storage is $0.10 per GB-day after the first free GB. It is the cheapest way to prototype if someone on the team is comfortable with the API, and the hardest to budget, because there is no plan ceiling.

Relevance AI lists only an Enterprise plan with a "Talk to sales" button, and Voiceflow shows "usage-based billing" with no rate. Both are capable platforms, but neither lets a small business price an agent before a sales call.

The same agent, priced on each builder

Credits, tasks and executions are not the same unit, so here is one workload run through each meter. The agent handles 500 inbound leads a month: it reads the form, checks the CRM, drafts a reply and logs the result. This is our arithmetic on the published numbers above.

BuilderHow the 500 leads are countedWhat it costs
n8n500 executions if triggered by a webhookStarter, $20/mo billed annually (room for 2,500). A 5-minute polling schedule would be 8,640 runs and push you to Pro at $50.
ZapierAt least 3 tasks per lead (3 actions; AI steps may count more) = 1,500+ tasksToo big for the free 100 tasks; needs a paid tier sized for 1,500+ tasks, priced on Zapier's task slider
LindyOne Plus seat gives a budget of 6 credits per lead (3,000 ÷ 500)$29.99 if each lead uses 6 credits or fewer. At 20 credits a lead you need 10,000 credits: Plus plus 7 top-ups is $99.99, the same as Pro, which includes 15,000.
GumloopBudget of 40 credits per lead (20,000 ÷ 500)$37 a month plus the 8% orchestration fee, if each lead stays under 40 credits
Copilot StudioBudget of 50 credits per lead (25,000 ÷ 500)$200 a month for one pack, or the pay-as-you-go meter
OpenAI Agent BuilderTokens per lead plus tool callsOne file-search call per lead is $1.25 a month (500 × $0.0025); the model tokens are the real bill and depend on the model

The pattern: the flat-run builders (n8n) get cheaper as agents get longer, the per-action builders (Zapier) get more expensive, and the credit builders (Lindy, Gumloop, Copilot Studio) depend on a credit cost per action that most of them do not publish in a table. Before you pick, run your real workflow for a week on the free trial and divide the credits used by the leads handled. That one number tells you the plan.

When should you hire a builder instead?

A no-code builder is the right start when the agent does one job, touches one or two apps, and a person on your team will own it. Hire someone when any of these is true:

  • The agent touches money or customers directly. Refunds, quotes, bookings or anything a customer sees needs testing, guardrails and a fallback when the model is wrong.
  • It needs a system the builder does not connect to. An industry tool with no integration, a database, or a phone line means custom work either way.
  • The meter outruns the build. If the per-lead math above lands at hundreds of dollars a month and climbing, an owned system paid at the model's own rates can cost less within a year or two. Our build vs buy AI agents guide walks through that crossover.
  • Nobody has time to maintain it. Agents drift when apps change. A builder you rent still needs someone to notice when a run starts failing.

Who can build an AI agent for my business?

You can build it yourself on any of the tools above, hire a freelancer who knows one of them, or hire a studio to scope, build and connect the whole system. Whoever you pick should show you the per-run cost on your own workload before you sign, using the math above.

SuperDupr is one of those studios. We build custom AI agents and multi-agent systems for service businesses. Our published prices: AI chatbots $5,000 to $10,000, AI workflow automation $10,000 to $25,000, and multi-agent systems from $25,000, with $200 to $2,000 a month ongoing depending on volume. Most AI builds go live in 2 to 4 weeks, and the system and accounts belong to your business. We will also tell you when one of the builders above is enough on its own.
