HubSpot Pricing 2026: Seats, Credits, and What the Jump to Professional Really Costs
As of October 28, 2026, HubSpot is free for up to 2 users. Starter starts at $7 a seat a month billed yearly ($20 monthly), and Sales Hub Professional is $90 a seat yearly or $100 monthly plus a required $1,500 onboarding fee. For a six-person team that is $336 a year on Starter and $4,740 in the first year on Professional, and the AI agents bill about a cent a credit after the monthly allowance.
How much does HubSpot cost? The short answer
As of October 28, 2026, HubSpot is free for up to 2 users. Starter's plan card reads "starts at $7 a seat a month" on annual billing and $20 a seat month to month. Sales Hub Professional is $90 a seat a month on annual billing or $100 monthly, plus a required $1,500 onboarding fee, and Enterprise starts at $150 a seat with a $3,500 onboarding fee. Every paid plan now comes with a monthly allowance of HubSpot Credits (500, 3,000 or 5,000), and the AI agents spend them at about a cent a credit once the allowance runs out.
Prices come from HubSpot's pricing pages and its Products & Services Catalog, read October 28, 2026, and the API limits from HubSpot's developer docs the same day. All are listed under Sources at the end. Where we assume how a workload maps to a limit, we say so.
HubSpot plans and seat prices
HubSpot prices by seat type, not by hub. A Core Seat gives a user the features of whatever tier you bought. A Sales Seat adds the full Sales Hub, and you only need one for people who actually sell. View-only seats are free on every paid tier.
| Seat | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | Credits a month | One-time onboarding |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | None | None (up to 2 users) |
| Starter Core Seat | from $7 (plan card) | $20 | 500 | None |
| Professional Core Seat (Smart CRM) | $45 | $50 | 3,000 | Depends on the hub |
| Professional Sales Seat | $90 | $100 | 3,000 | $1,500 |
| Enterprise Core Seat | from $75 | Through sales | 5,000 | Depends on the hub |
| Enterprise Sales Seat | from $150 | Through sales | 5,000 | $3,500 |
One rule changes most quotes: if you mix tiers, every Core Seat is priced at your highest tier. Buy Sales Hub Professional for two sellers and your office manager's seat moves from a Starter seat to a Professional Core Seat too. The full Customer Platform, every hub in one bundle, is listed at $1,300 a month at Professional and $4,700 at Enterprise.

What the jump from Starter to Professional costs
This is the number most HubSpot buyers get wrong, so here it is on one workload. Say a six-person home services company has two salespeople, two office staff, and two owners who only need to look at the pipeline. The owners take free view-only seats.
| Setup | Seats you pay for | Per month | First year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Not possible: 4 people need to edit, Free allows 2 | $0 | $0 |
| Starter, billed yearly | 4 Core Seats at $7 | $28 | $336 |
| Starter, billed monthly | 4 Core Seats at $20 | $80 | $960 |
| Sales Hub Professional, billed yearly | 2 Sales Seats at $90 + 2 Core Seats at $45 | $270 | $4,740 (with the $1,500 onboarding) |
| Sales Hub Professional, billed monthly | 2 Sales Seats at $100 + 2 Core Seats at $50 | $300 | $5,100 (with onboarding) |
On annual billing, the first year on Professional costs about 14 times the Starter year for the same six people. What you buy with it: sequences (up to 500 email sends per user a day), up to 300 fully customizable workflows instead of Starter's 50 with restricted triggers and actions, forecasting, and 3,000 credits a month instead of 500. If your reason for upgrading is one automation, price that automation on its own first. Our automation platform pricing comparison runs a full lead-intake workflow for $12 to $39 a month.
HubSpot Credits: what the AI agents actually cost
HubSpot's AI features draw from your monthly credit allowance. When it runs out, Pay-as-You-Go bills each extra credit at $0.01, or a capacity pack adds 1,000 credits a month for $10 for the rest of your term. Either way, a credit costs about a cent. The rate sheet in HubSpot's catalog sets the price of each action:
| Action | Credits | Cost once your allowance is used | Covered by Professional's 3,000 a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer agent resolves one chat, email or form conversation | 50 | $0.50 | 60 conversations |
| Customer agent, one minute of voice (beta) | 50 | $0.50 a minute, plus telephony | 60 minutes |
| Prospecting agent recommends outreach for one lead | 100 | $1.00 | 30 leads |
| One AI action inside a workflow | 10 | $0.10 | 300 actions |
| Nurture agent personalizes one email (beta) | 10 | $0.10 | 300 emails |
Run the same six-person company through it. If its website chat sees 300 conversations a month and the customer agent resolves all of them, that is 15,000 credits: 12,000 over Professional's allowance, about $120 a month. Add the prospecting agent on 200 new leads (20,000 credits, about $200) and the AI line is roughly $320 a month, more than the $270 in seats. A voice minute at 50 credits also carries phone charges on top, and the catalog says so. The allowance resets every month and the higher Pay-as-You-Go tier does not stick, but a capacity-pack upgrade does last for the rest of your term.
HubSpot API limits by plan
For anyone connecting HubSpot to other software, the API limit is the plan limit that matters. For privately distributed apps, HubSpot's docs set them per tier:
- Free and Starter: 100 requests every 10 seconds per app, 250,000 a day per account.
- Professional: 190 requests every 10 seconds per app, 625,000 a day.
- Enterprise: 190 every 10 seconds, 1,000,000 a day.
- API limit increase add-on: 250 every 10 seconds and another 1,000,000 a day per increase, on any tier.
The 10-second limit applies to each app. The daily limit is shared by every app on the account, and the shared limit is the one that catches people. A form tool, a calling app, a reporting sync and your own automation all draw from one 250,000 on Starter. Once it is gone, every call returns a 429 error until midnight in the account's time zone. If a nightly sync is part of the plan, batch it, and build retries that wait instead of hammering the API.
Is HubSpot free?
Yes, for up to 2 users, with no credit card required. The free plan includes HubSpot's free marketing, sales, service, content and data tools, which is enough for a founder and one helper. A third person who needs to edit records puts you on Starter. The catalog lists free view-only seats on Starter, Professional and Enterprise, which is how most owners use a CRM anyway.
HubSpot vs Pipedrive, Zoho and Salesforce on price
HubSpot is the cheapest CRM to start on and one of the most expensive to grow into. The step from Starter to Professional is where most "HubSpot got too expensive" stories come from, and it is the step where Pipedrive and Zoho stay flat per seat. The three-way breakdown is in HubSpot vs Pipedrive vs Zoho CRM. Salesforce sits higher still, but it prices its AI differently, per action or per conversation instead of per resolution. See Salesforce pricing for the same worked numbers on Salesforce's plans.
If HubSpot is your CRM and Apollo finds the leads, the two bills stack: Apollo's paid plans work out to about 2 cents a credit and a phone number costs 8 credits, as priced in our Apollo pricing guide.
Who can build an AI sales agent on HubSpot for my business?
Turn on HubSpot's own agents yourself if the job fits their shape: resolving chats from your knowledge base, or suggesting outreach for leads already in the CRM. Bring in a builder when the agent has to work across tools HubSpot does not own: pull leads from Apollo, call or text them back in seconds, book a slot on a calendar outside HubSpot, and write every touch back to the deal. SuperDupr, the AI ops shop Justin McKelvey runs, builds that as AI sales agents, published at $8,000 to $15,000, with $200 to $2,000 a month in running costs depending on volume and most AI builds live in 2 to 4 weeks. HubSpot stays billed to your account; we do not resell it, and you own what we build. The first step is a free 30-minute strategy session.
