Salesforce Pricing 2026: Every Plan, the API Add-On, and What Agentforce Costs per Conversation

As of October 28, 2026, Salesforce Starter Suite costs $25 a user a month and Pro Suite $100 billed annually, with Core at $195, Advanced $395 and Max $550. API access is a $25-a-user add-on on Pro Suite. Agentforce costs $2 a conversation or $500 per 100,000 Flex Credits, about 10 cents an action, so a short three-action conversation costs about 30 cents.

How much does Salesforce cost? The short answer

As of October 28, 2026, Salesforce Starter Suite costs $25 a user a month, billed monthly or annually. Pro Suite is $100 a user a month billed annually, and the Sales Cloud editions above it are Core at $195, Advanced at $395 and Max at $550, all billed annually. Two lines decide the real bill for a small business: API access is a $25-a-user add-on on Pro Suite, and Agentforce AI is priced separately, at $2 a conversation or $500 per 100,000 Flex Credits (about 10 cents an action).

Prices come from Salesforce's Sales Cloud and Agentforce pricing pages, read October 28, 2026, and are listed under Sources at the end. Salesforce notes that its page is "for information purposes only and subject to change", so check the page before you sign. Where we assume how a workload maps to a price, we say so.

What a 10-person team pays in a year

Here is one team priced on each plan, before any AI. Say a 10-person sales and service team wants its CRM connected to the rest of its software (a phone system, a form tool, an automation platform), which means it needs API access.

SetupPer user a monthTeam per monthYear
Starter Suite$25$250$3,000
Pro Suite$100$1,000$12,000
Pro Suite + Web Services API$125$1,250$15,000
Sales Cloud Core (APIs included)$195$1,950$23,400
Max (Agentforce included)$550$5,500$66,000

The integration decision is worth $8,400 a year at this size. If the only reason to move up to Core is that your tools need the API, Pro Suite with the API add-on does it for $70 a user a month less. Move to Core when you need what Core adds for sellers, like forecasting depth and conversation intelligence, not because you saw "APIs" on its feature list.

Agentforce pricing: conversations or Flex Credits

Salesforce sells its AI agents three ways, and you cannot mix the two usage models in one org:

  • Conversations: $2 for each conversation a customer-facing agent handles.
  • Flex Credits: $500 per 100,000 credits, half a cent a credit. Salesforce's own examples charge 20 credits, or $0.10, for each action an agent takes (updating a record, answering a question, running a flow). Unused Flex Credits do not roll over into the next term.
  • Per user: Agentforce add-ons for Sales, Service and Field Service are $125 a user a month for unmetered employee use. An Agentforce User License is $5 a user a month but still needs Flex Credits, and the Agentforce Coworker license is $50 a user a month.

Which model is cheaper depends on how many actions a conversation takes. Say a customer agent on your website handles 1,000 conversations a month:

Actions per conversationFlex Credits per monthFlex Credits costConversations cost
3 (look up an order, answer, log it)60,000$300$2,000
10200,000$1,000$2,000
20400,000$2,000$2,000
30600,000$3,000$2,000

The break-even is 20 actions a conversation. Most support and intake conversations are short, so for a small business Flex Credits usually cost a fraction of the $2 rate. Conversations make sense when the agent does long, many-step work and you want a flat number to budget. For comparison, HubSpot charges 50 credits, about 50 cents, each time its customer agent resolves a conversation. The plan-by-plan math is in our HubSpot pricing guide.

Max's 2.75 million Flex Credits a year are worth $13,750 at the list rate. That is about 229,000 credits a month, enough for roughly 3,800 three-action conversations a month without buying more.

Is Salesforce worth it for a small business?

Starter Suite at $25 is a fair price for a CRM with lead routing and email marketing in one place, and it competes directly with HubSpot Starter and Zoho. The question gets harder at Pro Suite and above: $100 to $195 a user a month is several times what Pipedrive or Zoho charge for their working tiers, and that is before any AI. Salesforce earns that when you need its depth: complex quoting, many teams, strict permissions, a big app ecosystem. A 10-person team that mostly needs a clean pipeline and fast follow-up usually gets there cheaper on the options in our HubSpot vs Pipedrive vs Zoho CRM comparison.

Agentforce or a custom AI agent?

Agentforce is the easy choice when the work lives inside Salesforce: reading and updating records, summarizing cases, running flows you already built. The math changes when the agent has to work across tools Salesforce does not own, answer the phone, or run where your team does not have Salesforce seats. Then you are paying per action for an agent that still needs integration work. What an AI agent costs to build and run on your own stack is in how much does an AI agent cost, and when to buy a platform agent versus build one is in build vs buy AI agents.

Who can build AI automation on top of Salesforce for my business?

Set up Starter Suite's lead routing and sales flows yourself; they are built for that. Bring in a builder when the work crosses systems: a form or missed call that has to become a scored lead in Salesforce within seconds, a follow-up that runs by text and email, invoices and documents that need reading before they reach a record. SuperDupr, the AI ops shop Justin McKelvey runs, builds that layer as AI workflow automation, published at $10,000 to $25,000, with most AI builds live in 2 to 4 weeks and $200 to $2,000 a month in running costs depending on volume.
