Typeform Pricing 2026: Plans, Response Limits, and What Happens When Your Form Hits the Cap

As of October 27, 2026, Typeform is free for 10 responses a month. Basic costs $28 a month billed yearly or $39 monthly for 100 responses, Plus $56 or $79 for 1,000, and Business $91 or $129 for 10,000. Responses are pooled across all forms, partial and test responses count, and at the cap your forms go private until the month resets unless auto-upgrade raises your plan.

How much does Typeform cost? The short answer

As of October 27, 2026, Typeform is free for 10 responses a month. Basic costs $39 a month billed monthly or $28 a month billed yearly (100 responses, 1 user), Plus $79 or $56 (1,000 responses, 3 users), and Business $129 or $91 (10,000 responses, 5 users). The limit that matters is responses: they are pooled across all your forms, partial and test responses count, and when you hit the cap your forms go private until the next month unless auto-upgrade raises your plan.

Prices come from Typeform's pricing page and limits from its help center, read October 27, 2026; both are listed under Sources at the end. Typeform's own free-plan article warns that it experiments with pricing, so the plans in your account can differ from the public page. Where we assume how a workload maps to a limit, we say so.

Every plan has unlimited forms and questions. Basic includes webhooks and integrations, which is what most automations need. Plus removes Typeform branding and adds a custom subdomain. Business adds drop-off rates, conversion tracking and priority support. Growth Flow adds 1,500 response enrichments a month, a Salesforce integration, email and SMS follow-ups and the Contacts & Automations add-on, with a 14-day trial that needs a card. Self-serve plans top out at 50,000 responses a month; past that, Typeform sends you to sales.

One discrepancy worth knowing: the plan cards show yearly billing saving 28% to 30% (Basic $28 against $39, Plus $56 against $79, Business $91 against $129), while the FAQ on the same page says you could save "up to 16%." The cards carry the prices you pay at checkout, so we used them.

Is Typeform free?

Yes, with 10 responses a month across all forms. The free plan keeps logic, embedding, integrations and Typeform's APIs, so you can build and test a real workflow on it. You cannot run one: 10 responses is a quiet week on any lead form. Paid features you try on the free plan stay in trial mode, which means you can build with them but cannot publish the form until you upgrade or remove them.

What counts against your Typeform response limit

This is the part of Typeform's pricing that decides your plan, and it is spread across four help articles:

  • The limit is per account, not per form. Plus with three forms collects 1,000 responses in total, not 1,000 each. Unused responses do not carry over.
  • Partial responses count. If you collect partial responses, each one counts as a response, based on the respondent's browser session.
  • Tests count, and deleting does not refund. A test submission through a published form uses a response, and deleting a response does not give it back. Use the builder's preview to test. AI-generated test responses do not count.
  • At 100%, the form closes. Typeform emails you at 90% and 100%. At 100% your forms switch to private mode and visitors see a closed message until the month resets or you upgrade.

Auto-upgrade is the escape valve, and it is easy to switch on without reading the terms. With it on, Typeform moves you to the next response tier the moment you pass your limit and bills the difference for the rest of the period. On Basic the steps are 250, 500 and 750 responses before it moves you to Plus. The upgrade then stays in place: an annual Basic plan auto-upgraded to Plus in September renews as an annual Plus plan. To get back down you switch auto-upgrade off and downgrade separately, and an auto-upgrade during the period cancels a downgrade you had scheduled.

A worked example: a cleaning company's quote form

Here is the same workload we priced in our Jotform pricing guide, so the two line up. A residential cleaning company gets about 600 quote requests a month through one form, and every request flows into its CRM and calendar through an automation platform.

QuestionTypeformJotform (read October 12, 2026)
Cheapest plan that holds 600 a monthPlus, 1,000 responsesBronze, 1,000 submissions
Price billed yearly$672$408 ($468 on Silver if 150 customers pay a deposit through the form)
Cost per request at 600 a monthabout 9.3 centsabout 5.7 cents (6.5 cents on Silver)
What happens at the capForm goes private for the rest of the monthMonthly cap on submissions; the oldest response is deleted when total storage fills

Typeform costs this business $204 to $264 more a year than Jotform for the same 600 requests. Whether that is worth it is a design question: Typeform's one-question-at-a-time format is the reason people pick it. The pricing question is the spike.

Say spring brings 1,150 requests in April. On Plus with auto-upgrade off, the form closes at request 1,000, and the last 150 people that month see a closed form. If one in four of them would have booked a $350 clean (the example rates in our speed to lead guide, not this company's data), that is about $13,000 of work turned away by a form setting. With auto-upgrade on, the form stays open and the account moves to the next tier for the rest of the year, and it renews there. Business, the next listed plan, is $1,092 a year, $420 more than Plus. The cheap fix is cheaper than either: watch the 90% email and move overflow to a second channel before the form closes.

A Basic plan is not an option for this workload. Even auto-upgraded through its 750-response tier it would cross into Plus every month. Typeform shows those in-between tier prices only in checkout, so we have not quoted them.

How Typeform connects to automations and AI

Typeform collects the answer; the work happens after. A webhook on any paid plan can post each response to an automation platform the moment it arrives, so you never pay for polling. Typeform also sells its own automations: the Contacts & Automations add-on is $25 a month for 2,400 actions on Plus and up, or $75 for 12,000 actions on Business and up. Compare that with a general platform before you buy it. Our automation platform pricing comparison runs a full lead-intake workflow (form in, AI score, CRM contact, text to the lead, follow-up task) at $12 to $39 a month for 300 leads a month on annual billing, and n8n vs Make vs Zapier shows which one stays cheap as the steps per lead grow.

The add-on makes sense when the follow-up is email inside Typeform and nothing else. When a response has to create a CRM contact, text the lead and book a slot, a general platform or a custom workflow does more for the same money.

When does a business outgrow Typeform?

Usually not on volume. The signals are a form that keeps closing at the cap in busy months, staff retyping answers into a CRM, a lead form with no instant reply, and quote logic so long the form becomes the process. At that point Typeform can stay the front door while the qualification, routing and follow-up move into a system built for them.

Who can build a Typeform lead intake automation for my business?

Connect simple forms yourself: "new response, add a row, send an email" runs on Typeform's integrations or any automation platform's entry plan. Bring in a builder when the form feeds money: an AI step that scores and replies to each request in seconds, routing to the right person, quotes that land in the CRM and a booked slot on the calendar. SuperDupr, the AI ops shop Justin McKelvey runs, builds that layer as AI lead generation and follow-up, published at $8,000 to $15,000, with most AI systems live in 2 to 4 weeks and $200 to $2,000 a month in running costs depending on volume.
