How much does MyCase cost? The short answer

As of October 31, 2026, MyCase costs $50, $100 or $130 per user a month billed yearly, or $60, $120 and $150 billed monthly. There's no setup fee or long-term contract, and every active firm user counts toward the bill. A six-person firm pays $3,600, $7,200 or $9,360 a year.

The plan decision usually isn't about seats. It's about automation. Workflows, intake forms and Zapier start on Pro, and the Open API is on Advanced only. That second step costs a six-person firm another $2,160 a year.

MyCase plans and prices

PlanBilled yearlyBilled monthlyWhat it adds
Basic$50 per user/month$60 per user/monthCases, contacts, time entry, invoicing, trust accounting, online payments, limited client portal
Pro$100 per user/month$120 per user/monthWorkflows, document generation, eSignature, intake forms, legal CRM, 2-way texting, integrations
Advanced$130 per user/month$150 per user/monthCase and discovery AI assistants, advanced document automation, Open API, split billing, desktop drive

The page says yearly billing saves "up to 16%". That holds for Basic and Pro. Advanced drops from $150 to $130, which is about 13%. The free trial is 10 days with no credit card, and fees you've already paid aren't refundable if you cancel.

What Basic leaves out

Basic looks like half the price of Pro, and for a firm that only needs billing and trust accounting, it is. But MyCase's comparison grid marks all of these as Pro and up:

  • Automated workflows and document generation
  • Client intake forms and the legal CRM
  • Unlimited eSignatures
  • 2-way texting and the call log
  • Integrations, which is where Zapier, Google, Outlook and QuickBooks sit

That last line matters most. Without integrations there's no Zapier connection, so Basic gives you no simple way to start outside steps from a new lead or case. Any firm planning to automate intake should price Pro from the start.

What MyCase costs for 3, 6 and 10 users

UsersBasicProAdvancedPro to Advanced costs
3$1,800$3,600$4,680$1,080 a year
6$3,600$7,200$9,360$2,160 a year
10$6,000$12,000$15,600$3,600 a year

These are annual totals at yearly billing, for the whole firm on one plan. The pricing page doesn't say whether plans can be mixed, so ask before you assume paralegals can sit on a cheaper tier. Paying month to month on Pro costs six users $8,640, which is $1,440 more.

Which MyCase plan opens which automation?

This is the table worth having before a sales call. Each row shows the cheapest plan with that feature, per user a month billed yearly, next to PracticePanther, the other practice-management vendor whose grid we could read in full on the same day.

What you want to connectMyCasePracticePanther
Task and event workflowsPro, $100Solo, $49
Client intake formsPro, $100Business, $89
ZapierPro, $100Business, $89
API accessAdvanced, $130Business, $89
AI reading your case dataBasic, $50, plus a Claude planNot shown on its pricing page

So a firm that needs the API pays $41 less per user a month on PracticePanther's Business plan than on MyCase Advanced, or $2,952 a year for six users. That doesn't make it the better product. MyCase Advanced also carries AI case and discovery assistants that aren't part of this comparison. It does show why a firm planning a custom build should compare API access before it compares anything else.

Clio is the name missing here. Its pricing page blocked our reader on October 31, and Smokeball's page printed no prices, so we left both out instead of repeating someone else's numbers.

The Claude connector: what it does and doesn't do

MyCase now ships an official connector that lets Claude search your MyCase data. The feature page says it's included in all paid plans, so it's the one AI route that starts on Basic. A lawyer can ask what's overdue, which invoices are outstanding or which practice areas bring in the most revenue, and get an answer from live data.

Two limits decide what it's good for. It's read-only by design, so it can answer but can't create a task, update a case or send anything. It also requires a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, which is a separate bill from MyCase. Access follows each person's existing MyCase permissions.

For a firm that wants answers, that's useful and cheap to try. For a firm that wants work done, such as drafting the engagement letter and opening the matter when a lead signs, it isn't enough. That job needs Zapier or the API, because something has to write back. How much Zapier costs belongs in the budget if you go that way.

The add-ons that change the bill

  • MyCase Accounting: $39 per user a month, on Pro and Advanced only. Six users pay $2,808 a year. Pro plus Accounting comes to $139 per user, which is more than Advanced. PracticePanther's Business Pro at $114 lists accounting in the plan, though the two aren't a feature-for-feature match.
  • Extra discovery pages: the Discovery Assistant on Advanced includes 5,000 pages per user a month, pooled across the firm, so six users share 30,000. Another 5,000 pages for the firm cost $30, or $6 per 1,000, and they expire at the end of the subscription period.
  • Payments: MyCase lists LawPay at $0 a month with "competitive processing rates" and prints no rate. LawPay's own page lists 2.99% + $0.30 for Visa, Mastercard and Discover, 3.90% + $0.30 for American Express and 1% for eCheck, plus a $7.99 monthly pass-through fee, on its $19 standalone plan. If those rates apply to you, $10,000 a month across 20 card invoices costs $305, against $100 by eCheck. That's $2,460 a year for asking clients to pay by bank transfer. Confirm your rates before you count on the saving.

Which MyCase plan fits which firm?

  • Solo or small firm that mostly needs billing and trust accounting: Basic.
  • Firm that takes leads from a website and wants them followed up: Pro. Intake forms, the CRM and Zapier are all here.
  • Firm with a developer or a build partner: Advanced, because of the Open API.
  • Firm running heavy document review: Advanced, for the Discovery Assistant, and watch the page pool.

Who can build AI automation around MyCase?

MyCase holds the case. It doesn't answer a call at 9pm, qualify the lead, draft the engagement letter from the intake notes or chase a client who hasn't signed. Our guide to AI for law firms covers where that time goes.

A Zapier flow on Pro handles simple steps. When the job needs judgment, several systems or a write-back into the case, the choice looks like the one in build vs buy for AI agents. SuperDupr, the AI ops shop Justin McKelvey runs, builds that layer for law firms. AI workflow automation projects run $10,000 to $25,000, take 2 to 4 weeks and cost $200 to $2,000 a month to run. We don't resell MyCase or any other tool, and you keep the accounts. The first step is a free 30-minute strategy session.
