Company-level assessment ยท fixed scope
SEO Audit Services for Google and AI Search
Our SEO audit checks your whole site for Google and for AI assistants in one pass: a technical crawl, a score for every article, a keep-or-cut call on each page, and real tests of how ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini answer your buyers' questions. You get one prioritized fix list and a readout with your team. It's fixed scope, priced after a 30-minute call.
The short version
What is an SEO and AI search audit?
An SEO and AI search audit is a one-time review of a company's website that finds what keeps it from ranking in Google and from being named in AI answers. It combines a technical SEO audit (indexing, canonicals, redirects, sitemaps, rendering) with an AI visibility audit (how ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini answer buyer questions, who they recommend and which sources they cite), and ends with one prioritized list of fixes.
SuperDupr runs it for companies with a content-heavy marketing site. If you run a smaller site or a local business, start with the $1,500 AI Search Audit or the free AI visibility check.
What does the assessment cover?
Eight parts, delivered together. Each finding links to the page or prompt it came from, so your team can check it.
Technical crawl
Indexing, canonicals, redirect chains, sitemap accuracy and how pages render for crawlers, including AI crawlers. A page that only shows its content after JavaScript runs can look empty to a bot.
Every article scored
Each page gets a score against our page standard: a short answer up top, question headings, tables, an FAQ, sources, a named author and schema. You see which pages are close and which are far off.
Content triage
Every page gets one call: keep, refresh, merge, redirect or remove. Most large sites have pages competing with each other for the same question. We pick the one that should win.
AI answer tests
We run the prompts your buyers actually ask in ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini, and record who gets named, who gets picked and which sources get cited.
Competitor comparison
The companies AI assistants recommend instead of you, and what their pages have that yours don't: comparison pages, clearer facts, third-party mentions.
Fact consistency check
Prices, plan names, features and claims compared across your own pages and your profiles on review sites and directories. When they disagree, assistants hedge or repeat the wrong one.
Prioritized fix list
Every fix ranked by what it's likely worth and what it takes to do, with the page, the change and who on your team would own it.
Executive readout
A live walk-through with your team: what we found, what to do first, and what to ignore. You keep the recording and every file.
How is this different from a standard technical SEO audit?
A crawl tool tells you what's broken. It can't tell you why a competitor gets recommended when a buyer asks an AI assistant to choose.
| Automated audit tool | Typical technical SEO audit | SEO and AI Search Assessment | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Indexing, canonicals, redirects | Yes, as a list of warnings | Yes, with priorities | Yes, ranked against everything else |
| Rendering for AI crawlers | Rarely | Sometimes | Yes, checked the way AI crawlers fetch the page |
| Articles scored | Word counts and tags | Usually a sample | Every page, against one written standard |
| Keep, merge or remove calls | No | Sometimes | A call on every page |
| AI answers tested | No | Rarely | Your buyer prompts in four assistants |
| Prices and claims checked off-site | No | Rarely | Your pages and third-party profiles |
| What you end up with | A long export | A report and a roadmap | One ranked fix list and a readout |
What do the AI answer tests check?
We start with the questions buyers ask when they're choosing: "what's the best tool for a team like mine," "X vs Y," "alternatives to Z." For each prompt and each assistant we record three things. Were you named at all? Were you the one it recommended? Which pages did it cite to back that up? Being named in a list of six is a start. Being the pick is what brings signups.
Then we check whether AI crawlers can read your site in the first place. OpenAI documents separate crawlers for ChatGPT search (OAI-SearchBot) and for model training (GPTBot), each with its own robots.txt rule. Google's Google-Extended token covers Gemini training and grounding, and Google says it doesn't affect inclusion or ranking in Search. We check that a site opting out of training hasn't blocked the search crawlers by mistake. It's a one-line fix, but you have to look.

What happens after the audit?
The fix list is yours. It's written to work whichever way you go next.
- 1 Your team works it. Each fix names the page, the change and why it matters, so a marketer or developer can pick it up without us.
- 2 We do a fixed build. The list becomes the scope for the $5,000 AI Search Optimization build: schema, answer-first pages, llms.txt and technical fixes.
- 3 We run it every week. For bigger sites, the list becomes the first 90 days of an AI Search Program, with AI search reporting that tracks every fix.

Who does the audit, and what can't it do?
Justin McKelvey runs every assessment. He's spent 15 years building products and shipped more than 50 of them. Before software, he ran snowboard and mountain-bike shops and taught himself to code. More about Justin.
We score our own sites the same way. On our November 2, 2026 scan of each site's articles against the page standard, justinmckelvey.com scored 93 out of 100, superdupr.com 89 and getlocalcall.com 87.
The honest limit. An audit shows you where you stand and what to fix. It can't promise rankings or citations, and no one controls what a model says. Google says there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, so most of what moves AI answers is the same work that moves Google: clear pages, consistent facts and a site crawlers can read. AI answers often shift within weeks of a fixed page going live. Google takes months. If you go on to work with us, we measure from a week-2 baseline.
Questions
- What do SEO audit services include?
- Ours covers the whole site in one pass: a technical crawl (indexing, canonicals, redirects, sitemap and how pages render for Google and AI crawlers), a score for every article against our page standard, a keep, refresh, merge, redirect or remove call on each page, AI answer tests across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini, a competitor comparison, a check that your prices and claims match everywhere, a prioritized fix list and a live readout with your team.
- How much does an SEO audit cost?
- The company-level assessment is fixed scope and priced after a 30-minute call, because a 60-page site and a 2,000-page site are different jobs. You'll know the price and the deliverables before we start. Smaller sites and local businesses should start with the $1,500 AI Search Audit, which Justin does himself, or the free AI visibility check.
- What is an AI visibility audit?
- An AI visibility audit checks how AI assistants answer the questions your buyers ask. We run those prompts in ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini and record three things for each answer: whether you were named, whether you were the one recommended, and which sources the assistant cited. Then we trace each gap back to something on your site or a third-party page that can be fixed.
- Is a technical SEO audit enough on its own?
- It's the base, but it rarely explains why a competitor gets recommended instead of you. Crawl tools find broken redirects and missing tags. They don't tell you that your pricing page says one thing and a review site says another, or that your comparison pages haven't been touched in two years. We do both in the same assessment.
- How long does the assessment take?
- Most take two to four weeks from kickoff to readout, depending on how many pages you have and how many audiences you sell to. We confirm the timeline on the call before you commit.
- Do you fix the problems or just report them?
- The assessment is the diagnosis, and the fix list is written so your own team can work it. If you'd rather we do the work, the fix list becomes the scope for our $5,000 AI Search Optimization build or for an ongoing AI Search Program. You're not obligated to buy either.
- Will an audit get us into ChatGPT answers or AI Overviews?
- No audit can promise that, and no one controls what a model says. What it gives you is a clear picture of where you stand on the prompts that matter, why, and what to change first. AI answers often shift within weeks of a fixed page going live. Google rankings take months.
Find out what's holding your site back
On a 30-minute call we'll look at your site and a few AI answers together, then scope the assessment. You'll leave knowing the first three things we'd check.
